The Regional Council of Alt Empordà has issued a tender for installing a 300 kW photovoltaic system at the regional controlled landfill and the CTR waste treatment plants in Pedret and Marsá, Girona. The total estimated value of the contract is €1,548,923. Bids must be submitted by August 28, and the project must be completed within 45 days of the contract award.

The project will involve installing 546 solar panels, each with a capacity of 530 W, on the closed landfill's land. The panels will be arranged in 2 V tables, with two rows of 13 panels, each placed vertically, creating a string of panels connected in series per table. Each table will have a 20º tilt and contain 26 panels, providing a peak power of 13.78 kW per table.
The system's total nominal power will be 300 kW, using two 150 kW inverters from the German brand SMA Solar, specifically the Sunny High Power Peak3 model. Energy management and control will be handled via the SMA Datamanager M remote monitoring system, or an equivalent, connected to a switch or router with an Ethernet cable.
As part of our commitment to efficient energy use, a grid injection manager will be installed to prevent excess energy from being fed into the grid. This manager, made by the Spanish brand Renesys and the Prisma model, or an equivalent, includes a smart meter and must be connected to the switch via Ethernet.
The project is funded by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan – Next GenerationEU and the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable energy and the support of government initiatives.nce Plan – Next GenerationEU and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
