ABO Wind has signed its first power purchase agreement (PPA) for a photovoltaic project in Spain. The PPA has been signed with a large American technology company. The Valdezorita solar park will begin construction next January and is located in the province of Guadalajara, in central Spain. This park has a power of 50 MW peak and will have an approximate production of 100 GWh per year. In parallel, ABO Wind has closed a second PPA with the same offtaker for a wind farm that is currently being built in Finland.
These are projects that ABO Wind has developed from greenfield and will build turnkey. The PPAs include 100 percent of production for a period of ten years. Commissioning is scheduled for February 2024 in the case of the Finnish wind farm and for mid-2025 in the case of the solar plant located in Spain. ABO Wind is currently negotiating the sale of both projects.
