Alam Energy secures IDR 41bn for rooftop solar projects in Indonesia

In a pioneering move towards sustainable energy development, PT ATW Alam Hijau (Alam Energy), a strategic collaboration between Shizen Energy Inc., Alamport Inc., NiX JAPAN Co., Ltd., and the ATW Group, has successfully secured IDR 41 billion in financing from PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) (PT SMI). The funding, marking one of the initial instances of project-based financing by PT SMI, is earmarked for the development, construction, and operation of solar power installations catering to industrial clients in Indonesia.

The signing ceremony for this significant financing initiative took place at PT SMI’s office in Sahid Sudirman Center, Jakarta. Sylvi J. Gani, Director of Financing and Investment at PT SMI, and Soichiro Nishimori, President Director of Alam Energy, officiated the signing ceremony.

The financing facility extended to Alam Energy underscores PT SMI’s dedication to accelerating the energy transition in Indonesia. Sylvi J. Gani emphasized, “We are determined to support the development of the renewable energy sector, specifically Rooftop Photovoltaic Solar Panels. We hope that we can further explore the potential for financing other Rooftop Solar Panel infrastructure in Indonesia.”

This collaboration not only paves the way for sustainable development aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) but also positions both entities as key players in driving Indonesia’s transition from conventional to renewable and sustainable energy sources. The partnership serves as a model for stakeholders to come together, fostering energy transition through cooperative efforts in social, environmental, technological, and financial domains.
