CGN Brasil has started working on a 195-MW solar complex in Ceara, Brazil. The company will invest BRL 650 million in the Lagoinha Solar project located in the municipality of Russas. The complex is CGN Brasil's first solar greenfield scheme and is expected to generate 370,000 MWh of electricity per year, enough to power up to 240,000 homes. Ceara has great potential for renewable energy, with 643GW of solar power, 94GW of onshore wind, and 117GW of offshore wind.
