The construction of two ground-mounted solar plants has officially begun:
In Aalen-Mäderhof (Baden-Württemberg), the first ground-mounted PV plant in the city area is being built on 4.5 hectares. By the end of the year, 7,722 solar modules will be installed, providing clean energy for around 1,400 households annually.
This project is considered a showcase initiative for the regional energy transition, according to Hans-Peter Weber from OstalbBürgerEnergie eG (OBE).
Despite bureaucratic hurdles in recent years, the plant is expected to go into operation by the end of 2024, with final grid connection scheduled for April 2025.
In Pirach (Bavaria), the Linner solar park is being built along a railway line with a total capacity of 8.5 megawatts.
The project, which strengthens the regional energy supply in Burgkirchen an der Alz, is being developed, built, and operated by MaxSolar GmbH. The completion of the solar park is also planned for April 2025.
Both projects make significant contributions to the sustainable energy future of their regions.
