Eiffage Energía Sistemas has officially started the construction of two photovoltaic solar plants for Everwood Capital in the town of Montemayor, Córdoba.
The plants, Cabra and Olivar, will have capacities of 250 MWp and 50 MWp, respectively. With an investment exceeding 134 million euros, this is one of the most significant photovoltaic projects in the province.
The turn-key (EPC) project encompasses the supply of key equipment, high-voltage evacuation infrastructures, and the provision of operation and maintenance services. The plants are expected to be operational starting in June 2027.
With an estimated annual production of more than 600,000 MWh, the Cabra and Olivar plants will generate enough clean energy to power around 172,000 households. This will help prevent the emission of over 430,000 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere each year.
Beyond the environmental benefits, the project will also have a positive impact on the local economy by creating jobs for businesses and professionals in the area. To minimize the visual impact of the plants and promote biodiversity, an environmental measure includes the creation of a surrounding green screen, designed to integrate the project harmoniously into its natural surroundings.
