New Pisoraca II and III Solar Plants in Herrera de Pisuerga: 85 MWp Project by Elmya EPC and Cero Generation
Project Details:
Total Capacity: 85 MWp
Location: Herrera de Pisuerga, Palencia
Components: Pisoraca II (52.27 MWp) and Pisoraca III (32.53 MWp)
Elmya EPC has announced the signing of a contract with Cero Generation for the design, construction, and operation of two solar plants with a total capacity of 85 MWp, to be developed in Herrera de Pisuerga, Palencia, under the Full EPC lite model.
The project comprises the construction of two photovoltaic plants: Pisoraca II, with a capacity of 52.27 MWp, and Pisoraca III, with 32.53 MWp.
It also includes the construction of medium-voltage underground lines that will connect each sectionalizing center to the existing substations, with each line being approximately 3 km long, according to a company statement.
Both plants will utilize solar trackers and central inverters, and each will feature a sectionalizing center designed to allow the future addition of a battery storage system, with space reserved on-site for this purpose.
The two projects are planned for simultaneous construction and are located adjacent to each other, with expected operation in the first half of 2026.
The partnership between Elmya EPC and Cero Generation for these projects follows agreements made in December 2023 and February 2024, focusing on engineering work, preliminary studies, and land clearing.
This marks the third joint project for the two companies, following previous projects in Italy: Bolotana A (5.75 MWp) and Bolotana B (9.25 MWp).
