Enfinity Global closes financing for construction of four solar plants in Europe

Enfinity Global has closed €118 million in financing for the construction of four utility-scale solar power plants in Europe. The solar plants will have a combined capacity of 101MW. The projects are located in the region of Lazio in Italy. These projects are likely to enter into operation in 2024. According to the company, there will be “€77 million of non-recourse senior debt, €41m of VAT financing, and LC facilities for PPAs and PV modules.” Enfinity Global chief executive Carlos Domenech was quoted in a statement, "We are delighted to partner with UniCredit, BayernLB, and Siemens Bank for this initial set of projects as we build our existing 4GW portfolio in Italy.” The company further shared that it plans to bring competitive clean energy to Italy, and further support it to achieve net energy needs and carbon emission reduction targets. Currently, Enfinity Global is building four additional projects in Italy with a total capacity of 134MW. These projects are based in the province of Viterbo (Lazio). The company has already closed €165m in financing for these four projects.
