Ignis achieves financial closure for development of solar projects in Spain

According to Ignis, the total finance amounts to €335 million. The loan will allow the company to finance projects up to 500MW of capacity.

The amount can cover the development of its strategy regarding the design, construction, promotion and operation of the solar assets.

“The renewable developments that Ignis will initiate between 2023 and 2024 possess the environmental permits necessary for their construction,” a local report mentioned.

The company expects that the new solar plants will contribute to the socio-economic development of the region. It will also create new job opportunities in various municipalities.

As per the company, the solar plants will be fully operated and maintained by the company itself.

Ignis plans to add to a portfolio of around 5GW managed operating assets. Recently, it had inked different power purchase agreements linked to the commissioning of new solar power plants in Spain.
