Japanese Shizen Energy connects solar power system in Brazil

Japan's renewable energy producer Shizen Energy Inc has announced that it has grid-connected a 555-kWp direct current solar power system in Brazil.


The solar developed said that the project has been connected in Brazil's Para state for an industrial customer.


According to Shizen Energy, the system is owned by Shizen Energia do Brasil Ltda (Shizen Brazil) in partnership with the domestic real estate developer Espaco Y. The duo has forged a joint venture named FazSol Energias Renovaveis.


Shizen Energy stated that this is the second photovoltaic plant project that Shizen Brazil developed outside Brasilia.


It informed that the power produced by the solar array will be "supplied through a remote net-metering system to seven retail stores owned by Novo Mundo."


Novo Mundo is a furniture and appliance retail chain in Brazil. The company informed that the commercial operation of the project is likely to begin in March.
