The power plant has a 25-year PPA with MSEDCL.
Juniper Green Energy started the operations of the 105-megawatt Jalkot Solar Power Project in Maharashtra, India.
In a statement, the company said the power project has a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd (MSEDCL).
The power plant, which started operations almost nine months before the scheduled commercial operation date, can produce around 200 million units of electricity annually, meeting the power needs of around 38,085 households.
It is expected to reduce the state’s carbon emissions by around 178,500 total carbon dioxide each year.
