Lightsource bp Accelerates Growth in Germany with 500 MWp Development Agreement with Kajoni Energie GmbH
Lightsource bp plans to develop a pipeline exceeding 500 MWp in Germany over the next two to three years, focusing on projects with a minimum capacity of 20 MW. To expedite its growth in the German solar market, Lightsource bp has signed a development agreement with Kajoni Energie GmbH, a Germany-based renewable energy project developer.
Stephan Jeznita, Managing Director of Lightsource bp Germany, commented, “Kajoni is well-established in Lower Saxony, a region with significant solar energy potential. We aim to expand further into the German market, and local partners like Kajoni are an ideal complement to our Greenfield development activities in Germany.”
Together with Kajoni, Lightsource bp will identify sites of at least 20 hectares, secure the necessary project rights, and achieve ready-to-build status. Upon commencement of construction, the projects will be wholly owned by Lightsource bp.
