MEC Group Acquires 51% Stake in EnergieSun




MEC Group has acquired a 51% stake in German rooftop solar developer EnergieSun. The investment firm from Duesseldorf aims to expand its portfolio of renewable energy investments. EnergieSun specializes in small to mid-size rooftop systems, serving mostly private customers, and has the capacity to install up to 200 systems each month. MEC Group is no stranger to the energy sector, having sold a 529 MWp bundle of solar projects in Germany to EDF Renewables earlier this year. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
