Norwegian offshore wind consortium developed by three renewable developers have been named Skjoldblad.
It has been developed by Total Energies, Iberdrola and Norsk Havvind. The three partners had formed a consortium last year.
The latest development comes just ahead of the country’s first large-scale tenders.
This consortium was developed to bid for up to 4.5GW Utsira Nord and Sørlige Nordsjø 2 projects. These projects will be constructed off Norway’s west coast.
According to the companies, this name has been picked up after Skjolblad water naval plant. The consortium has expressed commitment to explore and utilize wind energy through pioneering industrial technology.
Iberdrola informed that this “consortium will have a significant focus on strengthening local industrial expertise and developing Norwegian supply chains and creating new and local jobs.”
