Siemens Energy inaugurates global innovation center in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa University, accelerating net zero targets

Siemens Energy has launched a global innovation center at Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi, aiming to accelerate the transition to net zero.

The center will foster partnerships, develop technologies, and co-create research opportunities to promote knowledge transfer and create employment prospects.

Located at Khalifa University’s Sas Al Nakhl Campus, the center was established in collaboration with Khalifa University and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).

It aligns with Abu Dhabi’s commitment to climate change, with a projected 22% reduction in carbon emissions by 2027, reinforcing its role in regional sustainability efforts.

The center also focuses on creating high-skilled jobs and supporting knowledge transfer, aiming to contribute to the energy transition by developing and commercializing innovative technologies.

The inauguration was attended by key officials, including representatives from Khalifa University, ADIO, and Siemens Energy. Plans for the center were initiated in October 2022, and it marks Siemens Energy’s fourth global Innovation Center.
