The Government of the Balearic Islands publishes 12 resolutions for renewables and storage during 2023

According to information published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands, compiled by Energía Estratégica España, 12 renewable projects received a resolution in their environmental processing during 2023, for 276,681 MW of power.

Of these installations, all photovoltaic energy, nine received a positive assessment by the Government of the Balearic Islands, for 157.44 MW of capacity.

It is worth remembering that, according to data from Red Eléctrica España (REE), the Balearic Islands have 364 MW of renewable power, of which 321 MW are photovoltaic. Therefore, these projects could almost double the installed capacity in the Autonomous Community.

Meanwhile, the other three files obtained a negative response from the Minister of Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, for 119,241 MW of power.
