Vena Energy and Rept Battero to work jointly in energy storage in Indonesia

Vena Energy has entered into a partnership with Rept Battero to explore opportunities in energy storage in Indonesia.
The duo signed a framework agreement to look forward to establishing local production lines for energy storage components.
The collaboration aims to provide sustainable, efficient, and stable clean energy supply in Indonesia. It has received the necessary support from the Indonesian government as well.
Nitin Apte, chief executive of Vena Energy, was quoted in a statement, "With this Framework Agreement, we aim to significantly contribute to the development of a productive domestic supply chain in the renewable energy sector, which will support Indonesia's energy transition plan and enhance the local economy by creating jobs, fostering industrial expansion and opening export opportunities in this growing sector of the economy.”
Meanwhile, the components are further intended to support Vena Energy's hybrid megaproject featuring a 8GWh large-scale energy storage project. The project is currently under development.
According to Vena Energy, it has been contributing to help Indonesia achieve its green energy transformation goal.
So far, the company has commissioned five solar and onshore wind projects with a total capacity of 114MW.
