POLICY®ULATION
In 2021, South Korea government plans to invest a total of 311.2 billion won (US$260 million) to subsidize house or building owners to install new renewable energy facilities, which are classified as "renewable energy supply support projects in 2021" and accept applications.
PLAN&AMBITION
South Korea plans to achieve a total installed capacity of 42.7GW of photovoltaic + wind energy in 2025，and the overall goal to 2034 is to reduce the proportion of nuclear + coal power generation to 24%, and increase the number of RE facilities from 15% to 40%
