A2A Group inks deal with Enfinity Global for solar projects in Europe

Energy supplier A2A Group has entered into a partnership with Enfinity Global for solar projects in Europe.

The duo inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) for three of Enfinity's solar projects in the Lazio region. The total capacity of renewable electricity stands at 97MW.

As per the companies, with the latest partnership, Enfinity Global has become Italy's largest provider of cumulative contracted capacity through long-term energy sale agreements. So far, it has 232MW of capacity.

Besides, Enfinity Italy has 500MW of fully permitted solar power plants, 1.8GW of solar power plants in advanced permitted stages, and 2GW of storage projects, the company said in the statement.

"We are proud to partner A2A, one of the most respected energy companies in Italy and Europe, with a long and proud history of serving its customers," Carlos Domenech, CEO of Enfinity Global, was quoted.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo Giussani, Head of Generation and Trading at A2A, remarked, "Thanks to our partnership with Enfinity, we are able to make an increasing share of green energy from renewable sources available to our customers, and at the same time we continue to enable investments in plants that can support the path toward energy transition and decarbonization of the country."

The agreement is set to commence in 2025.
