
German renewables developer ABO Wind AG has announced it has sold the rights to a 100-MW solar park project in South Africa.
It is the last section of a larger cluster located in the country's North-West Province.
According to the company, the project will be installed on 450 acres of private land. It further stated that the 100-MW solar park will be run under a private power purchase agreement (PPA).
As per ABO, all project approvals are taking place and the project is ready for construction.
It has been informed that the “divested scheme is part of a 300-MW cluster of three photovoltaic (PV) projects.”
ABO has been working in South Africa since 2018. Currently, it has a pipeline of over 4.6 GW of renewable energy projects in South Africa.
