Aquila Clean Energy EMEA and Eiffage Energía Sistemas have provided an update on their Nijarmar solar PV project in Andalusia, Spain. The project, with an installed capacity of 25 MW, is scheduled to become operational in the second half of 2025. In addition to the solar PV installation, a substation and an evacuation line have been constructed to support the project.
Aquila Clean Energy EMEA is also working on hybridizing the Nijarmar solar park by integrating a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This will optimize the use of the interconnection point and provide additional value through grid services.
Andalusia is a crucial region for Aquila Clean Energy in Spain due to its abundant sunshine, making it an ideal location for renewable energy projects. The company has already put more than 230 MW into commercial operation in the region and is actively developing and constructing an additional 1.1 GW.
Aquila Clean Energy EMEA focuses on bringing clean energy to European markets through innovative, technology-driven solutions.
