Aquila Clean Energy obtains the DIA for six solar plants with a total capacity of 442 MW

Six solar plants from Aquila Clean Energy, a company for the development and operation of renewable energy projects with a focus on solar and wind, have obtained the positive Environmental Impact Statement (DIA). This authorization guarantees that the projects, located in Toledo and Cádiz, can continue their development and endorses the standards of the solar plants in environmental and landscape terms.

The authorized projects are located in two regions in which Aquila Clean Energy is already present. In Castilla-La Mancha, the company recently announced the start of construction of a solar plant in Montealegre del Castillo (Albacete), with a peak power of 42 MW.

The company is developing seven solar projects in Castilla-La Mancha, with 730 MW in total, and these will generate more than 2,555 jobs. In total, it has six plants under construction in the region, with 175 MW in total.

In addition, the two plants in Cádiz are part of the 19 Aquila Clean Energy projects in Andalusia, which will generate more than 4,000 jobs.

With the development of its project portfolio, Aquila Clean Energy will exceed 3 GW of renewable installed power in Spain in the coming years.
