BELECTRIC, a member of the Elevion Group, has successfully commissioned a 114 MWp solar farm in Borrentin, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, for its customer ENCAVIS, a leading independent renewable energy producer.

This large-scale plant increases BELECTRIC’s total installed capacity in Germany to over 1.2 GWp.

The Borrentin solar farm will generate approximately 121 GWh of solar power annually, contributing clean energy to a network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The project is a result of efficient collaboration between BELECTRIC, the municipality of Borrentin, the landowner, and ENCAVIS.

Thorsten Blanke, Managing Director of BELECTRIC: "Thanks to strong collaboration with ENCAVIS, we’ve completed the Borrentin project, now adding over 1.2 GW of solar capacity in Germany, equivalent to a nuclear power station."

Mario Schirru, CIO/COO at ENCAVIS: "By working with BELECTRIC and local partners, we’ve installed 200,000 solar modules, raising our capacity to 700 MW, a step closer to our 7 GW goal by 2027."

The commissioning of the Borrentin solar farm also marks the beginning of a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Allego, a European leader in EV charging infrastructure.
