BNZ, an independent power producer based in Barcelona, has launched two new solar farms in Extremadura, Spain, adding 19.2 MW of renewable energy capacity to the region.
The Emerita and Tremisol plants, each with 9.6 MW of capacity, cover a combined 18 hectares in Merida.
This milestone is part of BNZ's ambitious plan to achieve 600 MW of solar capacity in Spain by 2026.
Building on the success of a recently launched solar complex in Cadiz, these projects bring BNZ closer to its broader target of developing over 1.7 GW of solar capacity across Southern Europe by 2026, advancing the company’s commitment to a sustainable, green energy future.
