Renewable energy developer EDP Renovaveis SA has acquired two 200 MW solar plants in Vietnam. These two PV parks are based in Thuan Bac district.
For this, the company has signed an agreement with the country's local developer Xuan Thien Group.
According to the company, the transaction is worth USD 284 million (EUR 269.8m). Besides, it informed that there is an "additional earn-out conditioned to performance achievements," a report mentioned.
The company informed that these PV parks are under operation from 2020. They are generating and selling power under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
The company aims to boost its presence and development in the Asia-Pacific region. According to EDPR, it is considering cooperation with Xuan Thien Group on a long run to tap the opportunities together in the market.
