Endesa X, Endesa's energy services subsidiary, has started up 22 new self-consumption photovoltaic plants, with more than 4.5 MW installed in the Balearic Islands during the first half of this year.

Solar energy, along with other energy efficiency initiatives, is one of the key points in tackling decarbonisation in the industrial sector, as the company pointed out in a statement.

Endesa X currently has 16 new facilities under construction, with a planned capacity of 1.5 MW.

These new self-consumption facilities commissioned by Endesa X will produce approximately 6,793 kWh per year, which will prevent the emission of 1,659.13 tonnes of CO₂ per year, the equivalent of planting 9,964 trees.
