Entelios and Solar Power Accelerator have formed a strategic partnership to expand their Energy as a Service offerings through the integration of solar plants and energy storage systems

Å Entelios, a prominent Nordic power supplier and electricity trading firm, has forged a strategic alliance with Swedish Solar Power Accelerator to advance the deployment of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar power and energy storage systems, offering customers Energy as a Service (EaaS).

Energy as a Service (EaaS) presents a comprehensive suite of services tailored for commercial and industrial real estate owners and industries. This encompasses planning, procurement, financing, operation, service, and maintenance for solar plants and battery storage solutions. This subscription-based model liberates customers from hefty upfront capital investments, providing end-to-end assistance. Moreover, in certain instances, EaaS includes EV-charging infrastructure.

EaaS is underpinned by long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), offering several benefits to businesses:

1. Cost reduction: By reducing reliance on grid energy, EaaS helps trim energy expenses and lower grid costs.

2. Income generation: Participation in flexibility markets enables businesses to create new revenue streams.

3. Carbon Footprint Reduction: EaaS promotes cleaner energy alternatives, fostering environmental sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Solar Power Accelerator AB (SPA) is an independent power producer (IPP) and developer of large-scale rooftop-based solar power solutions. SPA, founded in late 2022, targets property owners with optimally designed roofs suitable for maximum installation of solar panels. The generated baseload offtake is either resold to property owners under long-term power purchase agreements or to external electricity buyers.
