Renewable energy asset management firm Exus Renewables has acquired a 51-MW wind farm project in northern Spain, further expanding its portfolio of renewable energy assets in Europe.
“This acquisition marks another milestone in Exus' transition to an independent power producer, further solidifying our position as a leading player in the renewable energy sector,” stated Victor Lopez, head of M&A at Exus Renewables.
The project, purchased from independent Spanish company Enhol Group, is ready to build and is expected to become operational in the third quarter of 2025.
Announcing the acquisition today, Exus said the agreement represents the initial step in a broader strategy to establish its footprint in the region’s renewable energy sector.
The wind project benefits from strategic location and favourable wind conditions. Upsides identified by Exus include the potential for solar hybridisation, co-located battery storage and advanced energy management solutions.
