German energy company EnBW allocates stake of solar project portfolio to ALH

German energy company Energie Baden Wurttemberg (EnBW) has allocated 49.9 % stake of its solar project portfolio.

The stake of 597MW portfolio has been allocated to Alte Leipziger Hallesche Insurance Group (ALH Group). The company informed that the solar portfolio consists of 16 solar power parks.

EnBW is one of the Germany’s biggest energy groups. It is a pioneer name in developing and operating renewable energy installations.

These parks are located in various German states, including Brandenburg, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saxony.

ALH Group chief investment and finance officer Martin Rohm was quoted, “This cooperation in renewables is an ideal complement to our existing portfolio of onshore and offshore wind farms. The investment is an important contribution towards our goal of substantially expanding the sustainability of our investment activities.”

Among many, the portfolio includes large-scale projects like Weesow, Gottesgabe and Alttrebbin.

It has been reported that these “three solar parks account for around 80% of the portfolio’s installed capacity.”
