Gurin Energy Pte Ltd has reached financial closing on a 75-MW solar project in Palauig, Zambales province in the Philippines. The USD-60-million project is expected to begin construction in mid-December and is set to be operational in the third quarter of 2024. It will cover an area of 80 hectares and be mounted with up to 136,363 panels, providing electricity to more than 35,500 homes yearly. The project is part of Gurin's 7-GW pipeline of projects in Asia, which includes a 300 MW project in Indonesia that was conditionally approved in September. This project will create a green energy trading corridor between Indonesia and Singapore with 2 GW of clean energy, contributing to both countries' renewable energy goals.
