Spanish renewables firm Ignis said it has commissioned its 62-MWp Guadacano solar farm in Spain’s southern region of Andalusia.
Guadacano, spreading across two municipalities in Malaga province, is expected to be able to produce 118 GWh of electricity annually, which is equivalent to the consumption of 33,714 households, Ignis said.
This is the company's first operational plant in Andalusia. Ignis says it has additional projects in development and under construction in the region, including three solar farms totalling 160 MW in the Granada municipality of Pinos Puente. These plants are currently in the final phase of construction and are expected to become operational during 2024.
