KP CM announces 2KW Solar System via Ehsaas Program; Details inside

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced to distribute 2KW free solar systems to one lac families in the region as cost of inflated bills forced people to go for green energy.

Chief Minister Gandapur said 100,000 households will receive 2 kilowatt solar systems including Panels, Inverters, Wiring, Fans, and Bulbs.

He said installation of these 100,000 solar systems will cut electricity theft and line losses in the region. Solar systems will be distributed among underprivileged households registered under Ehsaas Program.

Over Rs20 billion have been allocated for the project, as the government is taking stern measures to pass on relief amid back-breaking inflation.

Earlier, Sindh and Punjab also announced solar panles to axe costs, address environmental concerns, improve energy access in all areas.

Energy crisis in Pakistan is marked by gap between supply and demand, caused by outdated infrastructure, reliance on imported fuels, circular debt, and insufficient investment in renewables.
