Malaysian firm launches Innovation Lab to promote innovations in renewable energy

Malaysian clean energy firm Solarvest Holdings has launched Solarvest Innovation Lab 2023 to encourage innovations in renewable energy.

Besides, the lab will be focused on green technology (greentech) and financial technology (FinTech).

According to a company statement, this program is a revitalization of its start-up program that the group initiated back in 2021.

“Solarvest Innovation Lab aims to spur innovation and entrepreneurship developments in Malaysia with a key focus on greentech, fintech, and renewable energy,” it stated.

Solarvest is a clean energy expert having one-stop solar PV system solution for residential, commercial & industrial, and utility-scale solar farms.

The latest lab has been formed “to attract budding entrepreneurs with revolutionary ideas and to provide the right mentorship coaching, business network and financial support to accelerate the commercialization of these businesses.”

Solarvest is collaborating with other partners to boost the success factors of start-ups. “Together, we aim to create an ecosystem that supports start-ups at every growth stage,” Solarvest Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Davis Chong Chun Shiong was quoted in a statement.

He further stated, “As an industry leader in the clean energy space, we aim to unearth revolutionary ideas in these key industries of greentech, fintech and renewable energy which play a crucial role in the clean energy ecosystem.”
