Oman and Brazil are discussing investments in renewable energy and agriculture

On Sunday, the Sultanate of Oman and the Federative Republic of Brazil held political talks in Muscat. The Omani delegation was led by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, while Brazil’s delegation was headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira.
The discussions reviewed bilateral cooperation in various sectors, commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. They explored opportunities to enhance economic and trade partnerships, with a particular focus on mutual investments in renewable energy and agriculture.
The session underscored the strategic advantage of both countries' locations in boosting trade and increasing joint investments. Additionally, regional and international developments were addressed, emphasizing collaborative efforts to ensure global security and stability.
Minister Vieira praised Oman’s role in regional stability and expressed Brazil’s interest in strengthening relations for mutual development. In response, Sayyid Badr acknowledged Brazil’s contributions to global issues and highlighted the importance of ongoing political dialogue and coordination in international forums.
The meeting was also attended by Shaikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, along with various officials from both countries.
