Pertamina NRE and Huawei Form Green Power Dream Team: Sealing the Deal to Turbocharge Indonesia's Energy Future with Smart Grids and Renewable Breakthroughs! The game-changing pact, inked by Norman Ginting, Pertamina NRE’s Projects & Operations Director, and Jing Song, Head of Digital Power Business at Huawei Tech Investment, sets the stage for a tech-savvy revolution in smart grids, distributed generation, and digitalization.
Norman Ginting expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating, “We hope that Huawei’s experience in renewable energy technology can support Pertamina NRE’s aspirations in developing a low-carbon business and energy transition.” The partnership aims to bring breakthroughs in renewable energy projects in Indonesia, enhancing Pertamina NRE’s operational excellence through digitalization and smart grid applications.
Jing Song from Huawei emphasized the collaboration’s potential to benefit Indonesian society, contributing to national energy resilience through clean energy and smart grid technologies. The collaboration involves extensive studies, knowledge-sharing, and technical exploration related to jointly identified projects.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), highlighted Pertamina’s commitment to developing new renewable energy in support of the Net Zero Emission 2060 target.
