France-based renewable energy company Qair and Montenegro’s state-run utility Elektroprivede Crne Gore AD Niksic (EPCG) have agreed to jointly look for renewable energy opportunities in the Balkan country, with a primary focus on solar and wind projects.
The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to align their interests and establish a framework to identify and explore future collaboration opportunities, the French firm said in a press statement today.
“We are pleased to partner with EPCG, as this collaboration represents a significant milestone for Qair in the Montenegrin market. It positions the Group as a key player capable of leveraging its extensive experience in the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems,” Qair's CEO Louis Blanchard said.
Qair has been active in Montenegro since 2021, with its local head office based in Podgorica.
