Queequeg Renewables Ltd, a UK renewable energy developer, plans to submit planning permission for over a dozen projects with a total capacity of 750 MW by the end of June. The projects include solar and onshore wind power, as well as battery energy storage systems. Some sites will combine solar and storage. Queequeg also intends to build a 40 MW battery near Stockport in Greater Manchester. Mark Roberts, Project Development Director at Queequeg Renewables, highlighted the regulatory framework, advances in solar, wind, and battery storage, and reduced installation costs as factors driving investment in UK renewable energy. He also noted improved access to the national grid and rising customer demand.
