Rubis Group subsidiary Rubis Photosol has launched the construction of a 200 MWp solar farm in France.

It was possible after the company secured 257 MWp of ground-mounted photovoltaic projects in a tender call from the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE).

Out of these, the Creil solar plant will produce around the annual consumption of 85,000 households. This will be the second largest project in France.

The projects are set to begin construction between 2024 and 2025, which will boost Rubis Photosol’s position as a leader in PV power production in France. The project is planned to contribute to the achievement of the national objectives of the Multiannual Energy Programme.

Meanwhile, Rubis Photosol is also accelerating its development in Spain with the acquisition of three projects. The company shared that these projects have a capacity of around 30 MWp which will generate power around the annual consumption of 20,000 households.

Clarisse Gobin-Swiecznik, Managing Partner of Rubis, was quoted in a statement, "These projects illustrate the Group's strategy to develop in renewable energy production in order to reach at least 25% of its EBITDA by 2030. These successes reward the expertise of the teams and testify to Rubis Photosol's competitiveness in these growing markets.”

The company announced the acquisition of three ready-to-build projects in the Alicante region, which will be commissioned in the second half of 2025. In addition, the pipeline of projects under development in Spain has reached 300 MWp.

The projects are in line with its development strategy in Spain.
