German solar mounting solutions manufacturer Schletter Group has secured a contract to supply its systems for an 80-MWp solar project called Langenenslingen and located in the state of Baden-Wuerttenberg, south-west Germany.
Schletter said that its FS Duo mounting system was selected for the project. This is a free-standing, twin-post system made of high-strength steel and designed to last 30 years, the Schletter Group CEO, Florian Roos, said.
The system is anchored firmly into the ground using rammed, galvanised steel foundations, allowing for a quicker installation compared to concrete foundations, but also an easier removal at the end of service life.
The Langenenslingen solar farm is currently under construction. Its connection to the grid is scheduled for mid-2025.
German firm Conecon is the planner and the general contractor for the project. Utility company EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG , which used Schletter’s solutions in some of its, will operate the solar farm.
