Sonnedix Acquires 416MWp Solar in Chile

Sonnedix, a global solar independent power producer, has acquired a 416MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in Chile from Enel Chile. The acquisition comprises of four operating PV plants, Diego de Almagro, Carrera Pinto, Pampa Solar and Domeyko; the addition of these projects brings Sonnedix’s total capacity in Chile to 2.5GW. The projects are located in the north of Chile and were operational since 2014, 2016, 2022 respectively. The transaction also includes the refinancing of Sonnedix’s largest operational utility scale project in Chile. The deal was funded by a US$624m acquisition financing facility with BNP Paribas, SMBC and Société Generale.
