TotalEnergies and AEW Secure 300MW Solar Project in Saudi Arabia

The project is part of the National Renewable Energy Programme's Round 5, supervised by the Ministry of Energy.

TotalEnergies, in partnership with Aljomaih Energy & Water Company (AEW), has secured the 300MW Rabigh 2 solar project in Saudi Arabia. The consortium signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) during the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to the Kingdom in 2024.


This project is part of Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Programme, aligned with the country's Vision 2030 goals to diversify energy sources and expand renewable energy capacity. The Rabigh 2 project marks a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to boost solar energy production.
