X-ELIO has officially commenced operations for the second phase of its Turroneros photovoltaic (PV) plant in Xixona, Alicante.
This expansion adds 15 MW of capacity, bringing the facility’s total to 50 MW. It is a key component of X-ELIO’s strategy in the Valencian Community, where the company has allocated €250 million for renewable energy projects, including 283 MW in development.
As part of its community initiatives, X-ELIO has engaged in environmental and educational efforts, such as installing solar-powered streetlights to enhance accessibility to Xixona Castle and organizing solar plant tours for local schools.
Highlighting the significance of this milestone, José Enrique Pardo, X-ELIO’s regional delegate, stated: “The Turroneros plant showcases our commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. Amid the challenges faced by the Valencian Community, we remain dedicated to fostering ecological progress and economic development.”
