German banking group Nord/LB has provided €109m in financing for a 177MW pair of solar farm portfolios being built by GoldenPeaks Capital in Poland.
More than 100 PV schemes, currently at various stages of construction and scheduled for operations by the end of 2024, are to be delivered.
The funds are to be split between €66m for the Kami 2 portfolio and €43m for Kami 3.
Electricity generated across the sites will be sold to tech company Google under a 10-year power purchase agreement.
Head of structured finance at Norb/LB Heiko Ludwig said: “The financing of sustainable projects of this kind is of great importance to Nord/LB. This deal is our biggest in Poland to date and marks the start of an exciting partnership with GoldenPeaks Capital.
“The solar farms will play a pivotal role in advancing the renewable energy transition in Poland.”
