In the wave of energy transition and green development, Thailand's Standard Energy Co., Ltd (STD) has reached a historic milestone with its solar cell production facility. On August 15th, the first high-efficiency solar cell successfully rolled off the production line, marking the official entry of the facility into mass production.
Located in the Rayong Rubber Industrial Estate in Thailand, STD's solar cell production facility represents a total investment of $300 million and covers an area of 120,000 square meters.
In just one month, the facility completed critical tasks including equipment installation, commissioning, and the rollout of its first photovoltaic cell. The facility has established multiple advanced automated production lines, adopting industry-leading N-type technology and a comprehensive quality control system to ensure exceptional quality. As production capacity gradually ramps up, the facility aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 8GW, supplying high-quality solar cells to the global market.
The first batch of cells utilizes N-type high-efficiency cell technology, with a size of 183.75mm and an efficiency of up to 25.2%. The entire production line boasts a yield rate of 98%.
