Air Liquide to purchase RECs from B.Grimm Power in Thailand

Air Liquide is all set to purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from B.Grimm Power in Thailand.

This move reflects that the company’s total power usage will be sourced from renewable energy.

To be noted, the RECs are generated from renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass. RECs are recognised globally through the International REC (I-REC) Standard.

Michael Lewis, Managing Director of Air Liquide Thailand was quoted, "This purchase of renewable energy certificates allows Air Liquide Thailand to offer low carbon solutions to its customers, supporting their climate objectives.”

He further added, “Entering into this agreement with B.Grimm is a step forward in supporting the continued development of renewable energy in Thailand, and supports the Group's strategy to reach net zero CO2 emissions by 2050."

It has been reported that the latest development will enable Air Liquide to supply low carbon industrial air gases to customers.
