Stamford, Connecticut—Altus Power Inc., a leader in clean electricity, has announced the successful commissioning of three new community solar photovoltaic (PV) parks in Maine with a combined capacity of 19.1 MW. This addition is set to increase clean energy access across the state, allowing thousands of local households to benefit from discounted renewable power.
“These new projects will increase access to the benefits of clean power at a discount for many more households in the state,” said Matt Marlow, co-Head of Investment and Structured Finance at Altus Power. He highlighted Maine's rapid emergence as a key community solar market for Altus Power, where the company’s impact is growing steadily.
Together, the three new plants are expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 4,200 homes annually. Altus Power's commitment to enhancing clean energy availability comes amid the company’s recent strategic review aimed at maximizing shareholder value and optimizing capital access to fuel further growth.
Altus Power’s portfolio now surpasses 1 GW of nationwide assets in operation, with over 500 projects across 25 states and more than 25,000 community solar subscribers. As the Connecticut-based company continues to expand, it remains focused on delivering sustainable energy solutions that meet the evolving needs of communities and stakeholders across the U.S.
