ASEAN Hydrogen Club and Japan Hydrogen Association sign strategic collaboration agreement

Dr. Takeaki Uchida, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC Club), and Mr. Hiroshi Fukushima, Executive Director of the Japan Hydrogen Association (JH2A), have sealed a momentous partnership through the signing of a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum. The virtual signing ceremony was graced by Mr. Le Ngoc Anh Minh, Chairman of the VAHC Club, and Mr. Truong Nhu Tung, Technology Hub of the VAHC Club.

The primary objective of this memorandum is to establish a non-binding strategic alliance between the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club and the Japan Hydrogen Association. The agreement aims to foster continuous exchange of information between the two organizations, in tandem with established committees or working groups. Among the proposed areas for information sharing include participation in committees, working groups, and industry events, as well as the exchange of reports, educational materials, and insights on government policies and regulations pertinent to the hydrogen sector.

The collaboration outlined in this memorandum seeks to facilitate enhanced cooperation and knowledge sharing toward mutual objectives, with a commitment to explore further avenues of collaboration where appropriate.

The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) is a private club dedicated to establishing a platform for policymakers, scientists, researchers, project developers, financial investors, and climate change advocates to converge and collaborate on hydrogen-related initiatives in Vietnam, the South, and the ASEAN region. Through VAHC, stakeholders can engage in the transfer of resources including human capital, land assets, technology, financing, and expertise in hydrogen energy projects at national and regional levels.

The Japan Hydrogen Association (JH2A) is committed to realizing a hydrogen-rich earth by promoting the transformative and nature-friendly energy of hydrogen on a global scale. With a focus on building a hydrogen society through social deployment projects, JH2A engages in discussions with various stakeholders to chart future strategies aimed at advancing hydrogen technology. Collaboration between public and private sectors, alongside government support, is deemed essential in creating a sustainable hydrogen society for future generations.
