Cyprus Electricity Authority Issues Tender for PV System Construction

The Cyprus Electricity Authority (EAC) has issued a new tender for the study and construction of photovoltaic (PV) systems at its substations, marking a key advancement in its commitment to renewable energy infrastructure in Cyprus.
Designated as tender number 191/2024, this project encompasses the full development of solar PV systems, covering both the design and construction phases. The estimated project value is around €950,000, excluding VAT. This open procedure aims to bolster the Authority’s ability to harness solar energy, in line with Cyprus's broader renewable energy objectives.
According to the tender documents, the successful bidder will be tasked with the study, design, and installation of the PV systems across various EAC substations. The procurement process adheres to EU Directive 2014/25/EU and will accept submissions until October 16, 2024, at 15:00 local time.
As a public law entity focused on electricity supply and infrastructure, the Cyprus Electricity Authority is inviting proposals from qualified contractors who meet the technical and financial requirements outlined in the tender. All submissions must be made electronically via the EAC’s e-procurement portal.
