Enel Chile's El Manzano solar farm lights up Santiago

Enel Green Power Chile has received approval to begin commercial operation of its 99-MW El Manzano solar farm in the Santiago Metropolitan region of Chile. The plant, equipped with 162,000 bifacial photovoltaic panels, is expected to generate approximately 226 GWh of clean electricity annually. The project is part of Enel Chile's strategy to bring renewable energy to large consumption centers. The El Manzano project also includes the development of a 67-MW two-hour battery energy storage system (BESS), which will be completed by the first half of 2024.
