German solar PV spacialist Greentech has commissioned three solar parks with a combined capacity of 103 MWp in the northern federal state of Schleswig-Holstein.
The three plants -- the 21.5-MWp Nienbuettel, the 70.9-MWp Agethorst and the 10.3-MWp Kohlenbek solar farms, are located in the Steinburg district, Greentech said on Monday.
The solar portfolio with an investment volume of about EUR 70 million (USD 75.29m) was financed by Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB).
A fund for institutional investors advised by EB – Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (EB-SIM) has invested in the projects in Nienbuettel and Agethorst.
In total, the electricity generated by the plants in Nienbuettel and Agethorst can help avoid around 40,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually and supply around 20,000 four-person households with electricity, commented Bernh ard Graeber, Managing Director and Head of Alternative Assets at EB-SIM.
Hamburg-based Greentech noted that it is developing various other projects in Schleswig-Holstein and other federal states. In May, it received a municipal resolution for the 46-MWp solar project in Grossenwiehe, Schleswig-Holstein. Construction is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2025 and take eight months.
